Scarborough Beach Pool to be our new home

Scarborough Beach Pool to be our new home

Some very exciting news for Tuart Hill Swimming Club! We have been selected by the City of Stirling as the Home Club at the new Scarborough Beach Pool, making us the first inaugural Club at this iconic venue. This will give us an amazing opportunity to ensure we have the optimum pool space to continue to deliver our successful swim program.

We will commence training at the new venue on Monday April 30th. Our head coach Clark Carlson and high performance coach Travis Nederpelt are currently working on a new timetable and revamped squads program to ensure we make full use of the additional lane space and facilities that will be available to us. They are very excited about the new options that will be on offer, which will include the return of the adult fitness squad and some new squads that will cater for all levels of swimming abilities and desired commitment levels. Once it has been finalised, we will provide members with all the information and support to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Tuart Hill is a Community based Swimming Club and it is a key reason why the City of Stirling chose us. Our values of working together and supporting each other and the broader community is important and it will continue to be important as we move forward. We understand this change is not ideal for all our current members and we want to assure you that this has not been an easy decision. The Club has been based at Tuart College for over 50 years and making this move has not been done without pursuing all opportunities.

Four years ago the club made a decision to become more competitive and this has taken us on a mind blowing journey from D division to winning B Division this year making us one of the top eight clubs in the State, which is a fantastic achievement and the first time for the Club since the early 80’s.

We are currently taking on new members, so if you want to join us on our new and exciting journey, please register your interest with our friendly registrar Rachel via email at registrar@tuarthillswimmingclub.org. Alternatively, if you would like to discuss our new program with our head coach, please call him on 0478 931 963. All other contact details can be found on our Contacts page here: Contact Us.

Details of our current squads program, membership fees and timetable can be found on our website, however as stated above we are in the process of modifying them. They will be up on our website shortly but feel free to browse our current program to see what we already have on offer and current fees and charges.

Looking forward to seeing you all at our new venue!!
