Head Coach - Clark Carlson

Since joining Tuart Hill as Head Coach, Clark has been instrumental in our recent growth as a club. Under his mentorship, swimmers work on perfecting their technique in a fun, inclusive environment.

Clark’s aim is to foster a love of swimming and bring out the best in our members, regardless of ability. His encouragement and dedication has seen our junior squad members excel in the pool.

High Performance Coach - Travis Nederpelt

Travis is the High Performance Coach at Tuart Hill Swimming Club. As an athlete, Travis represented Australia at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic games, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2011 FINA World Championships.

Since retiring from swimming, Travis has completed his Bachelor of Education, Bronze coaching licence and his Cert IV in Fitness. Travis holds a passion for development at all levels of swimming and he actively promotes participation and enjoyment of swimming in the community.

Green Squad Coach - Kate Bird

Kate is the green squad coach at Tuart Hill Swimming Club. For Kate joining the Tuart Hill coaching team in 2017 was a natural progression transitioning out of competitive swimming. As an athlete Kate competed at a national open level in breaststroke and freestyle.

Outside the swimming community Kate recently graduated with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

White Squad Coach - Kiara Di Lanzo

Kiara joined our coaching team in 2017 and is the coach of the White Squad. She has been educated and mentored under Head Coach Clark and is currently in the process of completing her Bronze coaching certification.

Kiara is currently studying Exercise, Sport & Rehabilitation Science. She believes coaching swimmers correct technique from an early age is a priority, along with making it lots of fun!
